History of Dental Implants
Hi! all, good to see everybody in this blog post. In this blog, let me share you some information which I was browsing on the internet a day ago. I was browsing about the replacement of the tooth with implants. Suddenly, I found one blog post which tells the history of Dental Implants. It was quite interesting and I wish to share it with you. Do you know replacing the lost teeth with a bone-anchored device is not a new concept at all? Yes, archaeological findings showed that ancient Egyptian and South American civilizations already experimented with re-implanting lost teeth with hand-shaped ivory or wood substitutes.
In the 18th century, lost teeth were sometimes replaced with extracted teeth of other human donors. In 2500 B.C ancient Egyptians used gold ligiature as implants, in 600 AD Mayan civilization use implementation pieces of shell. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, titanium alloy is used for replacement of the lost tooth. So, friends, thus I conclude that Dental Implants are necessary for the replacement of missing tooth.
